Comics

Comic strips and manga inspired me to get into cartooning. Though I have not much explored cartooning in recent years, its complex simplicity continues to bring warm nostalgia. Here are some of my projects I've most enjoyed!

Ched, the Cheese Grater

2016

Ched – short for Cheddar – is your typical 'grate' guy! He likes to kick back, surf, and is a hopeless romantic who is obsessed with cheese. His expressive, shredded cheese locs convey mood and movement. These studies are from undergrad studies at PLNU.

Animation

My affinity for Animation is not currently reflected in my skills, though I am eager to learn! Applying Physics to visual storytelling is something I wish to explore more.

Storyboarding

No one can deny the impact of visual storytelling. The first comics were pictographs carved into cave walls and stones! This section of my portfolio is admittedly quite light. For years, my storytelling has mainly existed in my Fine Art; I aim to expand.
