The Israel/U.S. genocide in gaza forever changed me, as it has countless people across the globe...namely, surviving gazans and their relatives abroad. I made these social media avatars for people who wanted to express their support of palestinian sovereignty.

My first attempt at organizing a protest. The idea? To make Juneteenth (6/19) in San Diego an annual day of action in solidarity with Palestinians, who share many of Black Americans' struggles with over-policing and state-sanctioned violence. U.S. law enforcement train with IDF in Israel and bring the same tactics home. 6-1-9 is not only the calendar date for Juneteenth, but is also a common area code of San Diegans.
Planning was a much greater undertaking than I'd expected and ended up setting up shop solo. Organizing may not be my strength, but I enjoyed researching and creating these digestible educational graphics.
